Boycott Another Special Session in Annapolis to Give A Tax Cut to Millionaires
The Issue
Demand tax fairness!
Just two months after calling "Special Session" of the Maryland General Assembly to pass a massive tax increase on working Marylanders, state lawmakers want to come back to Annapolis for another "Special Session" to hand a 15% tax cut to millionaire casino operators at the expense of Maryland's Education Trust Fund (ETF). The ETF was set up in 2008 by Maryland VOTERS who approved slots in the state "for the primary purpose of providing funds for public education". Remember!

540,000 Notices of Intent to Foreclose have gone out in Maryland since April 2008:
-133,152 Notices in Prince George's County in May 2012 alone!
-72,601 Notices in Baltimore City in May 2012!
-60,333 Notice in Montgomery County in May 2012!
Yet, Prince George's County Executive Rushern Baker, Baltimore City Mayor Stephanie Rawlings and Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett testified in favor of income tax increases on working Marylanders and a gas tax increase, but are now all lobbying lawmakers around the state to support a TAX CUT for millionaire casino operators. I absolutely do not mind paying my fair share. But, this is fundamentally unfair to hardworking Marylanders!
