Carla Hale, the physical education teacher whose lesbian lifestyle was revealed in her mother's obituary, was fired by the Catholic Diocese of Columbus. According to Diocesan Policy 45116.1, Catholic school personnel will set an example of moral behavior, upholding the rules of the Catholic faith. According to the teachings of the Holy Bible, homosexual lifestyles--and any lifestyle that embraces what the Catholic Church considers a mortal sin--can endanger the souls of those so involved.
      This petition encourages Bishop Campbell to teach the holy Truths of our Church's Magisterium without compromise and without apology. The greatest act of love our Church can perform for Carla Hale and the students at Bishop Watterson High School is to say "no" to Satan's deceit. Love is a sacrifice. Love of Christ calls each one of us to open our hearts to the grace of His incontrovertible teaching. To love God and to love neighbor is our Church's high command, and we cannot love God by disobeying His commandments, and we cannot love any human soul by pretending holy truth does not exist. Jesus died for it, we must live for it.
      I ask all who sign this petition to also pray for the people of our Diocese, especially Bishop Campbell, to receive graces of courage. Catholic parents should have the right to raise their children in their Faith. They work hard to send their kids to Catholic schools.
