The start of the 2014 Winter Olympics are upon us and the street dogs of Sochi are disappearing by the hundreds daily. Russian city officials have selfishly turned to mass killings as the cheapest and fastest means to execute these dogs before the start of the winter games. Sochi hired Alexei Sorokin, owner of a local pest control firm Basya Services, to handle the stray dog population, or, as Sorokin calls them: “biological trash”. Sorokin was given full right by the Russian Government to get these dogs off the streets by using any means necessary. More often than not these already starving dogs that are desperate for food are being fed poison, causing them to endure long, agonizing deaths. These dogs need us now, more than ever. TAKE ACTION for the strays of Sochi by signing this petition to not watch or support the 2014 Winter Olympics in anyway.
