Whereas, the Baldwin­-Whitehall Board of School Directors created the position of “Supervisor of Projects for the Board of Directors and Special Assistant to the Superintendent” without administrative input and/or knowledge of all board members or advanced public announcement;

Whereas, said position was filled in violation of long ­established hiring practices including, but not limited to, posting internally, advertising, recruiting, and interviewing to determine the most qualified application;

Whereas, these events have injured the prestige and reputation of the Baldwin­-Whitehall School District;

Whereas, the trust between the public and the solicitor has been highly damaged in that the solicitor did not question the unethical judgements made by the board in the creation and appointment of the position.

Based on the above events that took place for the creation of the said position, we call for Martin Michael Schmotzer to be removed and/or resign from the Baldwin­-Whitehall School Board effective immediately and not be eligible for any further appointments to the school board. We further call for the immediate removal of Bruce E. Dice & Associates P.C. from the Baldwin­-Whitehall School Board.

Failure to comply with this redress of grievance will compel the petitioners to seek a remedy through other channels as may be determined in consultation with the proper authorities.
