I don't know about you but seeing the treatment that Australian cattle receive in other country's is barbaric. You can't deny the footage and pictures we see and the stories we are told via TV and Print media. To me it does not matter that only a few death houses in these country's do this , the fact that any do it at all is what the problem is. YES the farmers will suffer at first with a change of practice and the way they do business , HOWEVER! Many other industrys have had to make changes why can't the meat industry? If its a problem with the way the meat is killed or processed then we change the industry to meet the standards of other country's but in a humain way as to not let our cattle that farmers say they grow with love and attention be treated this way. If it's a problem with money then let's prop up the meat industry until it finds it's standing. We didn't it for the banks that stuffed us up with regards to the GFC and to the car industry ? Does HOLDEN ring a bell ? It's time to change the way we do business we regards to animals. No animal should be treated the way we see they are today in other places in the world. Even if it wasn't our cattle it still would be wrong. I am outraged that our so called PM has little to say on this as was evendent with the recent visit to Indonesia . This industry has more of a chance of  survival  if it processes and ships from Australia rather than come up against people like me that will do what ever I can to stop live export!
