Warren Buffett and Bill Gates recently launched the "Giving Pledge," which asks America's billionaires to donate at least 50% of their wealth to charity — an initiative that, if successful, would raise approximately $600 billion for nonprofits across the world. 

Worth $28 billion, Larry Ellison weighs in as the third richest man in America, which more than qualifies him for the Pledge. But a 2004 Forbes report (the latest one we could track down) totaled his 2003 donations at just over $151 million — nothing to sneeze at, sure, but still only a measly 1% of his then-$14 billion in total wealth (a mere half of what he's currently worth).

Tell Ellison that it's about time he begin putting his money to good use. Ask him to accept the "Giving Pledge" and donate at least 50% of his wealth to charity!
