In 2004 I found out I was a type 1 diabetic. After being admitted to the hospital without insurance, I was offered to be put on the SAGA program, free of cost. I recently found out that the State of CT has a $12000 lien against me to pay back what SAGA gave me. Unfortunately this makes me feel like I am being directly targeted because I am a tax paying American citizen. I have contacted several goverment personnel and various DSS employees and no one is willing to talk about the situation or give me advice on how to get this lien taken off. I am single, living in Ct with a serious medical illness... I can barely pay my bills let alone $12000 to the State. Please help me!!!!
