Snapple tea claims to be "made from the best stuff on earth." But the tea used to brew Snapple may be harvested and processed by human trafficking victims, children, and exploited labor. That's because Snapple has few protections in place to prevent their suppliers from using slave labor. Plus, they don't buy Fair Trade tea, which can drastically reduce human trafficking in the tea industry.

If Snapple were to make 10% of their tea purchases Fair Trade tea, they would make a huge difference in the lives of tea farmers and tea plantation workers around the world. Fair Trade tea means a living wage for those who produce it and can protect against exploitation and human trafficking.

Tell Snapple that if they really want to make their product from "the best stuff on earth", they'll make it from Fair Trade tea.

Make Snapple From The Best Stuff on Earth: Fair Trade Tea

Greetings Mr. Young

As a customer of Snapple products I am extremely concerned that Snapple does not use the best tea available in its products -- Fair Trade tea.

Currently, men, women and children are enslaved on tea plantations and in tea processing plants around the world. In Bangladesh, some tea plantations are locked down like prisons. In Western Africa, young women are subject to sexual assault as they harvest tea. Tea picked under conditions of slavery, forced labor, or child labor is far from the best stuff on earth.

Fair Trade certified tea helps ensure tea growers and producers are paid a living wage, reduces the risk of slavery, force labor, and child labor in the Snapple supply chain, and supports a fair and free tea industry around the world. Fair Trade tea is important to me as a tea drinker, and I hope it is important to Snapple as a company.

If Snapple were to make 10% of their tea purchases Fair Trade tea, they would make a huge difference in the lives of tea farmers and tea plantation workers around the world. Please, make a commitment to source at least 10% of your tea from Fair Trade certified providers. Doing so will help Snapple become an industry leader in the fight against human trafficking and exploitation around the world.
