Ask Little Debbie to go cage-free

The Issue

Every egg used in Little Debbie products comes from a hen forced to live crammed inside a cage with many other animals. Packed tightly into these cages, birds can't perch, lay their eggs in nests, dustbathe or exhibit other behaviors that are natural and important for them to do. Hens live among the feces and waste of other birds, and their feathers are often torn off due to constant rubbing against the cage bars. They are forced to stand on sloping wire floors, often suffering skin damage due to the constant rubbing against the cage and cage-mates. Battery cages are so cruel that they have been banned in California and throughout the European Union. The company that owns Little Debbie - McKee Foods - has refused to take any steps toward using cage-free eggs. Switching to cage-free eggs would spare chickens from the worst abuses they suffer in cages.

Please encourage Little Debbie to switch to cage-free eggs !
