Massage therapists have worked hard in the United States to be viewed by the general public as a legitimate business, with some types of massage even being accepted as genuine healthcare. At this time, thirty-eight states and the District of Columbia require some type of licensing for massage therapists. We had to study extensively, pass examinations, and are required to be ethical and professional. I want to be proud of my craft - and if someone asks Siri for a "happy ending", maybe she should direct them to the nearest library!
