On Monday April 28, 2014 Arzy a dog belonging to a traveler passing through Sulphur La, was shot and killed by Sulphur Police officer Brian Thierbach....The Sulphur Police Department and the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office launched a joint investigation into the shooting that found Thierbach "violated the Sulphur Police Department's Departmental Policy and Procedure regarding Use of Force and Personal Conduct and Behavior," Sulphur Police Chief Lewis Coats said in a Thursday news release obtained by KPLC-TV. Before any action could be taken against him, officer Theirbach resigned. This is not the first time officer Theirbach has done something unbecoming of a officer and resigned before action could be taken against him. 

We, the undersigned, respectfully demand that former Sulphur City Police officer Brian Thierbach, never be employed by any law enforecement agency in the state of Louisiana. Brian Thierbach was found in violation of the Suphur Police Departments Departmental Policy regarding use of force and personal conduct and behavior. Therefore, in the intrests of individual and community safety alike, we contend that he is not  fit to hold any type of law enforecment position.
