In 2011, The San Francisco Giants became the FIRST MLB team to create an "It Gets Better" video in support of our youth.  Many other MLB teams have since done the same.  The "It Gets Better Project" was created to provide hope for the future to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered (LGBT) youth .  These LGBT youth are bullied each and every day.  Many of them consider or even follow through with taking their own lives.  They cannot imagine it getting any "better".  According to statistics: Nine out of 10 gay teenagers experience bullying and harassment at school, and gay teens are four times likelier to attempt suicide. 

It's RALLY TIME for these youth!!!!  I BELIEVE in the POWER that The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have to make a difference in the lives of our youth!!!!  <3 <3 <3  Please Join me in asking our team to make an "It Gets Better" video.

Dear Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim:

In May of last year, The San Francisco Giants became the FIRST MLB team to create an "It Gets Better" video in support of our youth. The "It Gets Better Project" was created to provide hope for the future to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered (LGBT) youth . These LGBT youth are bullied each and every day. Many of them consider or even follow through with taking their own lives. They cannot imagine it getting any "better". According to statistics: Nine out of 10 gay teenagers experience bullying and harassment at school, and gay teens are four times likelier to attempt suicide.

As you know, the youth in our community look to you as positive role models. Your influence on the community (in general) is significant. As a VERY DEDICATED ANGELS FAN, I know that many of the team members are very passionate about helping our youth- and our community as a whole. Torii Hunter is especially passionate and provides a great deal of support to our youth through his very own special project. Please join in on the push for more MLB teams to show support and give HOPE to LGBT youth. You have the POWER to MAKE A STRONG IMPACT!!! It's RALLY TIME for these youth!!! Please make an "It Gets Better" video.
