Adult Education Support

Adult Education Support
The Issue
According to CollegeBoard.com America ranks number 11 world-wide in the amount of workers ages 25-34 who have post-secondary credentials. High school graduation rates are lower than they have been in the past. Why is this? Well students may have many reasons for not being able to complete their education the first time around, but some seek a second chance. Why then should we deny them this opportunity? Adult education programs all over the nation have been closed due to lack of support and funding. People need these programs in order to help them become better prepared for the workforce. Funding needs to be restored and/or found for programs like Adult Education, Workforce Innovation, and GED online. Unless we do something about this important issue, there may not be a second chance for those seeking to further their education. These people will have to continually work for less and barely get by in life. This fate is unfair and those of us who are lucky enough to have been given a good life and education should rejoice and help those who weren't as fortunate. Start by signing my petition! This will be sent to people in Congress and elsewhere who are in a better position to support these programs and make a difference. Education is essential! We need to make it our nation's top priority!
