In these challenging economic times, Louisianians cannot afford to not consider all of the options to find the most fiscally responsible way that will return health-care and jobs to the region FASTER.

With the release of two studies confirming that the proposed plan for the University Medical Center (UMC) in New Orleans is not feasible, the UMC Board has been asked to produce a business plan and consider all options for the best and most affordable plan for the new UMC Academic Medical Center. We hope that the UMC Board will truly pursue ALL OPTIONS - including asking it's financial analysts Verite and Kaufman-Hall - to study the use of the existing Charity Hospital building as one of those options.
