On March 9 1933, the Federal government was declared bankrupt and insolvent and dissolved by the Emergency Banking Act with Congress appointed as the trustee and the Federal Reserve as the receiver (Reference: The Bankruptcy of The United States, United States Congressional Record, March 17, 1993, Vol. 33, page H-1303). FDR, under the War Powers Act,the Trading with the Enemies Act of 1917, declared a national emergency giving the executive branch almost dictatorial powers. Generations of Americans have lived under this state of emergency for the last 78 years which has been renewed by every incoming president. It's past time to end the national emergency and restore the Constitutional government. Only you, as the President, can end the National Emergency.

"Since March 9, 1933, the United States has been in a state of declared national emergency....Under the powers delegated by these statutes, the President may: seize property; organize and control the means of production; seize commodities; assign military forces abroad; institute martial law; seize and control all transportation and communication; regulate the operation of private enterprise; restrict travel; and, in a plethora of particular ways, control the lives of all American citizens."

For 40 (now 78) years, freedoms and governmental procedures guaranteed by the Constitution have, in varying degrees, been abridged by laws brought into force by states of national emergency....from, at least, the Civil War in important ways shaped the present phenomenon of a permanent state of national emergency."

The American people are resilient and resourceful. Our nation has weathered many a storm as a Constitutional Republic, including the Civil War, World War I, and the great depression of 1920, We do not need nor want to be under a continuous state of National Emergency. We are a nation that wishes and expects to be a Constitutional Republic!

President Obama, demonstrate your statesmanship and honor your Oath to the Constitution and sign the order to end the National Emergency and Restore the rightful Constitutional Government! 78 Years has been Long Enough!
