This is a call for every Philippine public official to come clean and be an example of honest and trustworthy public service. 

The impeachment trial of CJ Renato Corona has shown a lot of what is wrong in Philippine politics. Many watched with disbelief, impatience, frustration, and prejudice. In his testimony last May 22, 2012, CJ Corona signed a waiver on the confidentiality of his bank accounts, tax records, and properties. He then challenged his accusers to also waive confidentiality in their own assets. Some say it is a diversionary tactic of the accused. Maybe it is, maybe it's not. But the thing is: He has a point. Whatever the outcome of this trial, let's look at it as a call for action.

Let us not just sit and watch. This is our chance to actually do something good for our country. Remind our lawmakers and other public officials to stay true to the "Daang Matuwid" campaign. Make noise and tell them "We're watching you."  We cannot just catch one and let the others go scot-free.
