We have to stop all of the violence that goes on schools now.  Too many kids are getting away violence in schools without any consequences, this has to stop because they will continue until someone gets hurt or dies.  Tell everyone to make a stand, tell the schools from the teachers, to principals, to the school board to Arne Duncan we are not going to stand for it anymore.  How many more kids have to die because no one wants to put their foot down and demand that parents take repsonsibility for their kids.

Violence on Schools Children by School Children

Dear Representative

Delegate Sossi: Did you think you were persuading me to stop my petitions about stopping the violence in my sons and the other schools across the nation by telling me how tireing it was to have Jessicas' Law passed. That when it was finally passed that is was a watered down version so it is basicaly useless. Or were you trying to deter me by telling me that you can't do anything about Child Predators because there isn't enough man power to montior them so they can basicly do whatever they want. How about this one, Bullies can do what they want because unless as you said in your e-mail to me, unless the kids who are being bullied have a police escort each day one again there is nothing you can do. Wow, now tell me why are you in office again. How dare you try to persuade my with your small tactics of telling me you only have one assitant and I have sent "so" many petitons to you that you don't have time to protect the people who put you into office. Is that what you told Christopher D.Jones' mother after her son died because of ineffective laws against bullying. Now lets try this again, we the people who have kids in school want some changes made in the laws towards bullying. Everyone has to work on this together or it will never happen. To try an discourage me as you did makes me think of the time when African-Americans were discouraged from fighting for their Civil Rights by people telling them there is nothing that can be done. Is that what's going on here, I hope not..Now let't try this again...Take a better look at the increase of Violence in schools esepecially elementary schools, we need to stop the violence now People. Thank You..

How many more kids have to die or end up dropping out of school before you do something about the violence that goes on in schools. I am not talking about just high school, violence is just as bad in elementary school, if it is not stopped it will only grow to the higher levels of violence. I have witnessed a little boy practicaly assult a little girl right in front of my face, he was just an inch from putting his finger in her eye. Yelling at her like he had every right to do so, it was like she was not even human. I have seen the affects of bullying on kids in my sons school it has made those who were being bullied turn to bullying themeslves for self preservations. When I asked the administration about what is going on when there is a problem I am always told "we talked to the child". Talking is not enough anymore, I want a Zero Tolerance policy instituted to protect the ones that are being bullied. This past year at my sons school made it clear to me that the agressors the bullies have more rights than the ones who are being victimized. To hear that I am supposed to have compassion given to a child because of what goes on at home has to stop at some point. We all have had some type of home problem and not everyone one of us choose to take it out on another person so that needs to stop. With this type of ideology you are just making it easier for the bullies to get away with what they did, now they know there is no real punishment for what they do so they do it again, without any punishment.

I want a policy in place that will have the students that is the bully to have in school dention with his first offense. If he or she continues then it will have to fall onto the parent to come and serve the detnetion with the child. Parents are not going to do anything to make their child stop until it starts to affect their wallet. If they have to miss work because of their childs non-sense they might be more inclined to make their child behave. I am now going to make a request for a policy that some may find unequal but something needs to be done to make these kids stop again it has to start with the parents. People who receive Social Services cannot be exempt from this either, if a child is not in control by the parent who is receiving Social Services then the same thing, money has to be taken away for each offense. If the parent is getting money for the child then the parent gets a reduction in the amount he or she gets for that child each month. People will always think something does affect them until their money is being taken away.

I am putting my foot down it needs to stop, a young boy was killed in Maryland because the school did nothing to make the gang members from bullying the boy. One of the boys was already in trouble and was on probation and had an assingnment to do and he never did it. You know the parents knew about the assignment and it was not completed but was the parent held responsible. If parent are held repsonsible for their childs action we would have a lot less violence of children on children.

The schools need to be held responsible as well, they need to enforce stricter rules for the students with the Zero Tolerance policy. The administration need to make it clear from the first offense that if there is a 2nd then their school career is in jeopardy. Why should a kid who is coming to school who is the victim have their rights violated for the sake of the bully who will not stop. We need to make it clear it will stop, we need to bring the order we had in schools when I was a kid in the 70's and the 80's.

I am asking you the people I voted for to run my country, run it, do as I am asking. Arne Duncan start protecting those who are the most vulnerable in schools. Instate a true Zero Tolerance policy in schools in the United States. Instate one that if the people do not follow, which means everyone not just for the parents but the administration as well there will be sanctions. Teachers, principals, school borad, superintendent, everyone who is a witness to bullying in school is repsonsible for making it stop. If not the school gets sanctions as well, it takes everyone to make this happen, when did it come to the point that the bullys are running the schools and getting away with what they do. The final decree, if they do not get it together after the fourth infraction expell the child and have the parents pay for him or her to have a tutor to come to the home to ensure the child keeps up. When you hit a persons pocket you will get results, if this is what it takes then it needs to be done. If you can't do it then I want a valid reason why not, that is giving the bullies and their parents more power because you refuse to stand up to them and tell them we are not tolerating it anymore...Now Do It!
