On Friday 12.9.2019 My 1 year old cat got hit by a local taxi driver which then left my nylah wriggling in the road while he was happy to drive off leaving people behind and walking past to then help my nylah and get her to a vets. My cat had 7 breaks to her pelvis and was paralysed from impact one side of her head and couldn’t even blink her eye she also had a bleed to her ears , I was then told surgery wouldn’t guarantee my cat to be better again, it’s was a 50/50 meaning she wouldn’t be able to walk ever again and she also wouldn’t be able to use the toilet ever again normally She was so badly injured I had to make the hardest decision to put her to sleep, leaving me and my children heartbroken and lost without are family pet we have brought up since birth this is not fair I want justice for nylah, she had her whole life ahead of her, this has caused such big distress in my family house and has touched so many people’s hearts who came to her rescue to help. Please please can something be done about this it isn’t right to hit family pets and be able to drive off and leave them to die and suffer ! Even having the decency to stop and help would of been something ! Please change the laws We have lost our baby nylah, she meant the world to us! She was part of our family that’s sadly been ripped from us and caused so much distress we miss her very much justice needs to be done on the law with cats, it shouldn’t be OK to hit a cat and carry on ! It shouldn’t be ! Please please hear us out
