Impeach Jeff Sessions

Impeach Jeff Sessions
The Issue
We the people of the United States, deeply concerned about the preservation of our great Republic and external threats to our democratic processes, hereby call on the United States Congress to exercise their constitutional authority and begin impeachment proceedings against Attorney General Jefferson Sessions if he neither resigns nor is removed from office by President Trump.
Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution of the United States clearly says "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors." As a civil officer of the United States, A.G. Sessions is subject to impeachment by the U.S. Congress.
There is now evidence that during his confirmation hearing before the U.S. Senate, A.G. Sessions lied under oath about having met with contacts of the Russian Federation during the height of that country's well documented cyber campaign to undermine the 2016 US elections. The Attorney General's willful omission of this information at the very least makes him potentially in contempt of Congress.
It is not enough to just appoint a special prosecutor to look into Sessions' misconduct; he must be removed from his position as swiftly as possible to ensure the efficacy and legitimacy of the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
