TfL has proposed extending the Bakerloo line down the Old Kent Road and in order to do this they must build a shaft for the work.

The current proposal includes shafts either at the Bricklayers Arms Roundabout or Faraday Gardens. This could mean that a large part of Faraday Gardens may be dug up and turned into a building site, as well as having a permanent shaft on the current basket ball pitches.

Your local Labour Councillors oppose the loss of Faraday Gardens for this project and believe the shaft should be placed at the Bricklayers Arms.
