Remove the ban on training collars in Toronto By-Law 102-2017

Remove the ban on training collars in Toronto By-Law 102-2017
The Issue
Toronto recently slipped a piece of legislation banning the use of prong and slip collars. This ban will effectively take away tools from responsible dog owners and limit the help that trainers like myself can give to their clients when faced with serious and potentially dangerous behavioral issues. Many of those who approve the ban do not work in the industry nor do they understand that this decision will reduce the safety of dog's and people for the city of Toronto. As well will increase the amount of owner surrenders and ultimately the euthanasia of many dog's that could have been trained and could have gone on to be safe and controllable family pets. We would like people to sign this petition, contact your local councilor and help get this by-law repealed. We appreciate your help and support
