Stop the demolition of the Red Road Flats

The Issue

The Red Road Flats are high-rise residential tower-blocks in Glasgow. They were built between 1964-1969 as one of many high-rise housing schemes in the 1960s and 1970s. They have been owned by the GHA (Glasgow Housing Association) since 2003. Demolition work started in 2010 and is expected to finish in 2017. There seems to be no reason for their demolition, however. Several other tower-blocks in Glasgow are also scheduled for demolition within the next eight years. You can help save the Red Road Flats by signing this petition.
