One dead, 14 hurt in NJ Transit bus crash in Newark One person was killed and more than a dozen others were injured when a van and an NJ Transit bus collided head-on in Newark during today's evening rush hour, authorities said. Joe Pentangelo, a spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, said the van driver, a New York City resident, "may have experienced a medical emergency" just before the 5:15 p.m. crash.
