Gray Line General Manager David Beagle said the driver, who has been with the company for more than five years, was "very upset." The woman was identified by the King County medical examiner's office as Sylvia Mann, 60, of Bothell. The bus was headed south on Seventh Avenue and turning east onto Pike Street when it hit Mann, who was crossing Pike at the intersection, said Seattle police Detective Dick Chapman. The accident occurred around 1 p.m. Mann was pronounced dead at 3:04 p.m. in surgery at Harborview Medical Center. Bobby Brewer, a mechanic who saw the accident, said the bus hit Mann, dragged her under the wheels for several feet and didn't stop until witnesses screamed at the driver.
