The CHED Memo dated August 7, 2017 effectively confirms that ALLOWING NON-BSREM GRADUATES TO TAKE THE REAL ESTATE EXAMS IS ILLEGAL. The Memo provides, "The CHED through the Technical Panel for Business and Management Education (TPBME) will conduct a National Public Hearing/Consultation on the proposed Guidelines on Alternative Curriculum for second coursers to qualify for the Real Estate Management (REM) Licensure Examination on August 29, 2017..." It is right that the consultation with the stakeholders must be held first. Hence, effectively, NON-BSREM GRADUATES CANNOT TAKE THE REAL ESTATE EXAMS EVEN IF Resolution No. 171 was passed by the PRBRES. How else can the PRBRES allow non-BSREM to take or retake the exams when the CHED is yet to hold the public consultation for the second courses to qualify (i.e. second courses for REM)? We can only thank the CHED for this scheduled consultation. A very welcome development, indeed! We shall remain vigilant even as we continue to firm up our next courses of action. As always, NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW. THANK YOU FOR SIGNING AND HAVING THIS PETITION SIGNED BY YOUR FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES.
