If you're a Hongseok fan, please sign this petititon in order to show our support for Hongseok and prevent him from being dropped by YG or excluded from iKON. Hongseok is a talented, dedicated and passionate young man who has (unfortunately) been a victim of Mnet's poor editing. It hurts my heart to see people call him lazy, arrogant, and say he doesn't want to be in the group. There is no way someone who puts their studies on hold in order to join an industry where his future is uncertain is lazy and has no passsion. He should not be held accountable for being thrown into the horrible mess that is the Mix & Match show. He has shown time and time again that he works just as hard and wants to be in the group just as bad as Chanwoo and Jinhyeong. Hongseok is only behind Junhoe in terms of pure vocal ability, with his potential he can only get better. His lovely tone would serve as a great balance to Junhoe's lower tone and Jinhwan's lighter tone. During the Mix & Match fanmeets he's been nothing but a cheerful delight despite the strong opposition against him. Please support our efforts to increase his chances of becoming a permanent member of iKON.

Supporting you, I’ve been supporting since the beginning, because your voice is really beautiful. I guess I’m one of your first batch of fans. Initially, I think myself as a casual fan of yours. But certain things have happened since then to change my mind of not just being a casual fan anymore.

 

From the first episode, you were criticised so badly, reason being that you’re rude, you look arrogant. I don’t want to refute, not because I think the same. You were not rude nor arrogant. Having lived in China for a years(for you), and as a Chinese myself, I say that you’re magnanimous(in taking the first steps to make friends). Thumbs up.

 

From the second episode to the third and subsequent episodes, your screen time got lesser and lesser. What was shown when you appeared was that you didn’t blend with the team, as if you were not hardworking. I understand that the show wanted to get some kind of conflicts for dramatic effects, but I can’t understand why you were used as the only bait. Obviously you worked extremely hard seeing your improvements in your dancing, yet it wasn’t shown in the program. I can only say, "HongSeok ah, it’s okay, we know you’ve worked hard.” <3 (after this paragraph, I really took a short break to gather myself.)

 

In Beijing, you used Mandarin to introduce yourself and raising each and every fan’s banners non stop, we know that you cherish your fans. Especially since you have a smartphone, of course you will be able to see the comments towards you outside T_T.

 

This night, I won’t say I’m frustrated, I will say my heart aches. Even though you know the whole world outside is misunderstanding you, and you have nowhere to explain yourself, I guess that’s why you said you will probably be the last. If I’m in your position, I think I will only cry.

When I read those words, it truly felt painful, those people used other’s pain to make themselves happy. If it’s me I wouldn’t be able to do that.
