This semester, Marquette University Student Government is showing many movies at the Varsity Theater.  However, none of them are the modern classic Bee Movie.  Bee Movie is a nine time Academy Award winning film, and an inspirational piece of art that encourages everyone to "bee" themselves.  It tackles controversial issues such as bee farming and who deserves the world's honey, but still manages to reserve a respectful and light tone when discussing these pressing issues.  Knowing this, everyone assumed it would be a shoe-in for movies to be shown this semester at the Varsity Theater.  But then the unimaginable happened.

MUSG refused to show Bee Movie at the Varsity Theater.

I'm lost for words.  While they weren't able to fit in the immaculate Bee Movie, MUSG is showing movies like the abomination Finding Dory, Captain America: Civil War, and Ghostbusters (all jokes aside, this last one really does suck). How could MUSG allow this?  I'll tell you how.

Marquette Student Government is bought out by the honey industry.

We need to raise awareness of the lack of Bee Movie in this country, and we can start right here at Marquette University.  Please sign this petition and let MUSG that we the people (and bees) will not stand for this.
