Bedford Develop is a small learning centre, providing courses for young, vulnerable people, aged 16 - 19. Develop is going to lose its funding from the Education and Skills Funding Agency at the end of July this year, 2021. We are looking for a kindly local organisation to take on our centre and allow our lovely learners to continue their learning in September.... Can YOU help?

Our Bedford centre has been in our local community serving our learners for 9 years.

Our learners tell us that until they attended our centre, they had stopped going to school, they were not travelling independently, felt they couldn’t progress any further with their education. 

If this centre were to close, the significant impact of this on our learners and their families could be devastating. Our young people do not want to attend mainstream college; they are unable to attend mainstream college. Our SEND learners are given the skills and education they need in order to progress on from us. Every learner has a successful outcome, every learner achieves!

This centre has been a crucial and much needed provision in Bedford since it opened. Our Local Authority fully support us and there is no other education provider in Bedford quite like our centre.
