Reverse the Ban on BBC Documentary "India's Daughter"
The Issue
In a country that treats women so brutally, shames them, harms them, hurts them - why is this documentary, of one of the most brutal cases of rape and murder being banned by the Indian Government? The victim's parents came forward and gave interviews openly, shared their daughter's name, why is the government so afraid to let people see this video?
I started this petition because I believe more people need to see this and understand what really happened that night, what happens every day. We are a democracy, and we have the right to access information and form our own opinion on the state of our country. We have the right to see things for ourselves and not see the filtered down versions of what our Government wants us to see.
This video needs to reach our youth, we have to be the change. We have to undo thoughts and beliefs that years of conditioning have left us with. Please support me in reversing the ban on "India's daughter".
