On September 16th, 2014, an adult, medium size, intact male Pit Bull named ‘Baby Boy’ was found deceased and brutally tortured on 2651 Clemson Rd. Columbia SC 29229, and I am left wondering who could let this happen to any animal. The dog’s injuries were so violent and severe, I still have nightmares! Baby Boy’s tattered body had been drug, stabbed, had the most horrific old and new wounds showing his muscles and bones all over his body, his face had black bruises as if he had been beaten, one of his paw was missing it’s nails, his left eye was carved as if someone purposely inflicted a horrible wound into his eye, his face had multiple trauma old and new, his face was swollen from what I believed to be a shot wound to his forehead! This dog suffered a horrendous life and HE DESERVES JUSTICE! 

HE WAS SOMEBODY!  

Richland County Sheriff’s Department Animal Investigator was contacted on 9/16 and three days later 9/19 it was determined that the majority of the wounds were NOT associated with torture! The majority of the wounds were the result of being hit by a car and dragged.

RCSD Animal Investigator:

‘The dog could have been in an organized fight that lasted only a few moments or most likely was roaming free and got into a scuffle with another dog’

‘A forensic vet has determined the pictures are that of the dog being hit and drug. The investigation has concluded and no CRIME can be PROVEN to have been committed’. 

I'm asking ALL OF YOU PEOPLE OF POWER to change your policies and animal laws so I don’t have to see never again HORRORS like what happened to Baby Boy.

The pictures of "Baby Boy" speak for themselves. How many more times does this have to happen before someone do something! When is there going to be accountability and change? Do we have to find a child’s body this way for you to do the right thing! Study shows, EVIL MONSTERS like this one, eventually will torture and kill a human being. He still roams FREE in my community! He is allowed to continue to torture and kill other animals… perhaps right now!

I'm passionate about this cause because no animal should have to suffer anything close to what 'Baby Boy' endured.  I'm a passionate animal lover who grew up loving the beauty of all animals! These are breathing, feeling, loving animals we’re talking about! I challenge ALL OF YOU to change your INVESTIGATION policies; I challenge you to change ANIMAL LAWS that protects these vulnerable animals! I DEMAND YOU DO WHAT YOU ARE PAID TO DO!!!

It's beyond words that this sweet, innocent PIT BULL that NEVER knew love had to suffer this violent, evil fate. If proactive and REAL actions were taken… there could have been some justice in Baby Boy's name! Knowing that another animal will suffer such violence, torture and indifference as a result of your lack of compassion… makes me very angry and I believe YOU ARE as guilty as the MONSTER who did this to this soul!

I have been gutted since the moment I found Baby Boy! My heart aches since his discovery! I dream about him and pray for him every day! My life will never be the same! I saw with my own eyes the HORROR you are allowing to continue! 

I believe strongly that this petition is an effective way to make a difference. I will take it as far as it can possibly go to make sure YOU update your policies and renew your ANIMAL LAWS! I will do anything in my power to be HIS VOICE! YOU HAVE TO STOP TURNING THE BLIND EYE! PIT BULLS ARE NOT THE DANGEROUS BEASTS! WE ARE!!!!

YOU HAVE THE POWER to not allow any other EVIL MONSTER roam FREE!
