Dear Friends of wild horses & burros,
The State of Wyoming is suing the BLM to roundup more wild horses after they have already rounded up too many and neglect to provide them shelter and shade when they should have left them alone in the first place.
Protect Mustangs is fighting hard in court to prevent more Wyoming wild horses from cruel roundups, experimentation, sterilizations (PZP, etc.). We have teamed up with Friends of Animals--also against PZP and for real wild horse freedom--to intervene in the lawsuit the State of Wyoming is bringing against BLM to force them into rounding up more wild horses when there are hardly any left.
Here is the article about the State's lawsuit: http://www.sfgate.com/news/science/article/Wyoming-sues-feds-claiming-too-many-wild-horses-5943755.php
You can read our PZP-Free Coalition's court motion to intervene here: http://protectmustangs.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/PM-WY-Motion-to-Intervene_WY-wild-horses_vfinal.pdf
Another Pro-PZP Coalition also filed to intervene the same day. So keep in mind there are 2 factions: PRO-PZP and PZP-FREE.
If you want to know why we are against using PZP (made from slaughterhouse PIG OVARIES and injected by dart guns into wild mares) besides the fact that it sterilizes after multiple use, please visit the educational Forum on PZP here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ForumPZPWildHorsesBurros
While we fight for wild horse freedom, the wild horses we have rescued such as the WY14 need to eat hay to keep them warm and help them heal from the trauma of the horrible BLM Dry Creek roundup last spring in Wyoming. Please make a tax-deductible donation today! The Andean Tapir Fund is our fiscal sponsor while our 501c3 is in the works. The Holiday Hay Drive is here to get one semi-load of hay (25 tons): http://www.gofundme.com/j28d24 Northern California's hay prices are high and will go up as winter pounds on.
If you would like to sponsor one of the Protect Mustangs' 5 Outreach Ambassadors with a tax-deductible donation, please contact us on our website www.ProtectMustangs.org . The Ambassadors are doing great work to educate people about the mustang crisis and why it's important to help them keep their freedom on public land.
The 14 wild orphans (WY14) are very grateful for your help. They are counting on all of us now that their families have been slaughtered for human consumption and they are all alone this cold winter. Please help them! Give the gift of hay to the orphans for the Holidays. They thank you and send their love.
Many blessings,
Anne
