A National Mask Mandate is needed for the United States in 2020. 

If most people wear masks when out in public, we can reduce the spread of Covid-19. Too many people are resistant and a mandate is needed. #MaskUp

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance states Americans should wear masks in all “public settings when around people outside of their household."

“Every single American should be wearing a mask, when they're outside for the next three months, at a minimum. Every governor should mandate mandatory mask-wearing,” Former Vice President, Presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden stated (8/13, Axios link). "Look — this is America. Be a patriot. Protect your fellow citizens. Step up.” Biden said.

Masks are our Key Tool - Masks are our Key Tool to Reduce the Spread of the Virus when out in public or when social distancing otherwise cannot occur or meet circumstances. This is backed by Science and Data.

We need to quickly get to CRITICAL MASS now - If most people properly used masks, we  could significantly reduce the community spread of Covid-19. Masks work when most people use them. 

“So just as we’ve seen cases skyrocket, we can turn this thing around in two to three weeks if we can get a critical mass of people wearing face coverings, practicing at least six feet of social distancing, doing the things that we know are effective,” - U.S. Surgeon General, Jerome Adams.

States next to hot spot states are more vulnerable in these challenging times.

The countries that have been successful in reducing the spread of the virus wore masks, socially distanced and washed/sanitized their hands. 

There must be a National Mask Mandate until the hazards and dangers faced by Covid-19 are flattened and reduced.
