Stop access of Cruise Ships in Venice

The Issue

Dear leaders of Venice,

I ask you to demonstrate your wisdom denying immediately the entry of CRUISE SHIPS in the city of Venice.

You know better than me that in an absolute miracle of engineering, the whole city is lying on ancient wooden poles as foundations.

Propellers of those enormous ships crossing the canals, could erode the foundations.

What would happen if only one of these ships as big as an entire neighborhood, would crash, due to a small mistake, over the city?

Unfortunately history is full of human errors.

I therefore ask you as millions of Italians to rethink and protect the future of Venice.

Be heroes and protect Venice. Real heroes are those who stop before the defeat. Venice belongs to humanity as an irreplaceable cultural and historical heritage.

Best regards,
