Genetically Engineered food has been dominant in the American market since the 1990's. Since the 1990's, there has never been any legislation that requires the proper testing of GMO products for possible health risks and there has never been any legislation that requires proper labeling of such products. Thus, since the 1990's, consumers have been buying GMO products, some without the faintest clue. Everyone has the right to know information about the food they eat and should be able to choose which foods they consume and which they choose not to consume. GMO Labeling will help many Americans to know exactly what they are eating and will give back the power of choice to the people.
