Food prices reached record highs this year – and the number of people going to bed hungry each night is growing. Today, a child will die from hunger-related causes every 9 seconds. 

Right now, Congress is considering cutting funding for programs that combat global hunger – programs that make up less than one-tenth of 1% of the federal budget, but feed millions of people worldwide, including 12 million people in the Horn of Africa who need food aid. If we don’t act now, even more people could go hungry.
