Because Violet is a well-known and loved Hawk, she seems to still be surviving with the leg dead and dangling and her mate is feeding her and she can still FLY and function as an educational animal at an appropriate rehab and rescue. She is already accustomed to people and would likely train well. We have the ability to at least improve her chances and her quality of life with either of these two options. She is surviving too well now despite her dangling leg and she is too well known and adaptable to consider euthanizing or just leaving her to her fate. We can improve her situation either way and we should and must take that responsibility seriously.  We stand willing and ready to help with her capture if needed and her care.
