Public schools should not be used like Payday Loans

Public schools should not be used like Payday Loans

The Issue

A $2 billion combined shift of funding away from K-12 schools imperils a public education system already held together with a patchwork of cross-subsidies, grants, and tentative revenue streams. As with many policy issues, the results here will further stress front-line workers and create unacceptable learning conditions for children.

Minnesota cannot continue to fix structural budget issues by raiding the reserves of school districts.
