I am writing to urge you to oppose President Obama’s decision to send 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan, at a cost of $30 billion more dollars on top of the $130 billion already being spent on war. The U.S. cannot afford the Afghanistan and Pakistan war and the president’s policy does not make any sense.

In a world of continual flux,each of us has a choice.Will we dig in our heels and resist,or can we seize the opportunity and make change work to our advantage?

The president justified escalation of war in Afghanistan to defeat al Qaeda. Yet, U.S. intelligence agencies now report there are less than 100 al Qaeda operatives inside of Afghanistan. Do we really need 100,000 troops to defeat them? Does this make any sense?

The president did promise to begin withdrawal in 18 months. His promise was vague but I hope you will take action to require the withdrawal and that it be more rapid and that it be a complete withdrawal of all troops and private security contractors from Afghanistan.

The Constitution gives Congress the power to declare war and to fund wars. You are an equal branch of government. Please use your power to end this war, not escalate; to bring the troops home, not send more troops to Afghanistan.

lets restore the classic American way of life for you and your neighbour.Lets perform our duties and enjoy our rights.Lets give each other place to breath and be ourself.Lets be proactive instead reactive.Lets get proactive in Peace,education,economy,immigration,health care,and most of all faith and wisdom,brotherhood.To each of us,at certain points of our lives,there come opportunities to rearrange our formulas and assumptions, not necessarily to be rid of the old, but more to profit from adding something new.
