Primates are being illegally imported in to the country in order to breed and keep as pets. Through the ignorance and lack of knowledge that the owners of such animals have, the welfare and health of primates is in jeopardy. Primates should not be kept as pets and by neglecting the needs on such a small level, we are neglected to back up all the hard work that is being carried out throughout the world by people that are trying to protect these animals.
