In June, the House of Representatives passed the American Clean Energy and Security Act (ACES), 219-212. Now is the time to urge your senators to support the passage of the American Clean Energy Leadership Act (ACELA), the senate’s version of ACES.

This bill will provide new jobs and can help make the United States a frontrunner in clean energy technology. Its passage could also prod the US to support helping developing countries to reduce their emissions and to power their countries with renewable, clean energy during December UN hearings in Copenhagen about climate change and energy. Developing countries currently suffer the effects of climate change on agricultural and water shortages, and would benefit from UN assistance.
