Tell Georgia Lawmakers To End Racial Profiling

Tell Georgia Lawmakers To End Racial Profiling
The Issue
Racial profiling is the accepted term for what many know as being stopped for "Driving while black". It is the practice by law enforcement of stopping people solely based on their race or ethnicity. Currently, only about half of the states have any legislation outlawing the practice--very few of which are located in the Southeast. However, Georgia may be on their way to joining Florida as the only states in this region to completely address the issue.
Contact Georgia state legislators today and tell them you want to see their state lead the way in establishing standards for the elimination of racial profiling in the southeast. Tell them you support the collection of demographic data and no longer want to see cases of "driving while black" in the news. By signing your name to the petition below you are taking a stand against racial profiling and the use of race as a basis for traffic stops.
