Tell Citigroup: Gender Discrimination in the Workplace is Unacceptable
The Issue
A lawsuit filed against Citigroup by six female employees and seeking class action status alleges that the company intentionally overlooks female employees for promotions, raises, and other work-related benefits. During the recession, extensive lay-offs have been made, even as the company continues to take federal bail-out money. However, most of the job cut-backs have affected women. Women are penalized for taking maternity and child-related leave, and those who have spoken out say they've faced retaliation. The suit alleges that women are being dismissed under the guise of the recession as a retaliatory measure.
Support these women by telling Citigroup that gender discrimination in the workplace is unacceptable!
