We all believe that our sons and daughters should be paid the same amount for the same work.  We’ve made large strides toward that goal in recent decades, but we’re still falling short.  Women who work full time year round earn only 77 cents for every dollar earned by men.
 
But, discrimination by sex is illegal right?  Yes, but some companies are using a loophole in the current law to keep paying women less.
 
The Paycheck Fairness Act will close this loophole and make sure that our sisters earn just as much as our brothers for a hard days’ work.
