Sangh Priya Rahul, an RTI activist & a third year student at  IIT Kharagpur Student recently received a complaint from an anonymous whistle blower against corruption in Regional Transport Office (RTO) at Hardoi. He went to the RTO to file the complainant.The officials at RTO asked him for a bribe which he refused to pay and he told them that he would file an RTI to expose corruption at that RTO. At this point about 20 RTO Officers physically assaulted him and left him bleeding.

'As he lay on the ground, he was asked again whether he was ready to pay the bribe.' To which, he refused again and was kicked mercilessly by the Officers. He later on went to register an FIR against the said officers however the police refused to lodge an FIR. Undetered after this incident Anti-Corruption believer Rahul said "his fight for corruption has become stronger"

Sign this petition and tell District magistrate Hardoi to set an enquiry and take action on the 20 RTO officers in Hardoi who assaulted Rahul for defending an anonymous whistle blower.  Ask the Transport Department of Uttar Pradesh take strict measures to reduce corruption in RTOs so that such spine-chilling incidents of violence do not occur in the future.
