Kiva is the world's first person-to-person micro-lending website, empowering individuals to lend directly to unique entrepreneurs in the developing world.

Kiva partners with existing expert microfinance institutions. In doing so, we gain access to outstanding entrepreneurs from impoverished communities world-wide.

Register, put $25 in your account and help finance a loan to an entrepreneur in a developing country! I currently have $50 loaned out and can see the people paying their loan back month-by-month.

It's terrific to see other entrepreneurs building businesses and lifting themselves out of poverty!

Derek SilvaPetition StarterI'm a man with a million ideas on how to make the world a better place but lacking a platform on which to promote such ideas. I'm hoping I can use <a href="http://Change.org" rel="nofollow">Change.org</a> to find others who think like I do and hopefully join an organization that will allow me to assist them in whatever way I can. Poverty and social injustice are at the top of my priority list, along with ensuring more and more countries become true democracies where citizens voices are heard and their concerns are acted on.
