Help End the Exploitation of Children in Malawi's Tobacco industry

Help End the Exploitation of Children in Malawi's Tobacco industry
The Issue
A new Plan report, Hard Work, Long Hours and Little Pay, shows that more than 78,000 children in Malawi are working on tobacco farms where they face exploitation, abuse and serious health risks. Some are suffering from the potentially deadly Green Tobacco Illness, absorbing the equivalent of two packs of cigarettes a day through their skin.
All children have the right to be safe, healthy and educated. Children working on Malawi's tobacco farms come from conditions of extreme poverty, and they are working to support themselves and their families. They have the right to safe working conditions, fair wages and access to schooling.
Sign our petition to the International Tobacco Growers Association and demand that multinational tobacco companies take full responsibility for the actions of their suppliers in developing countries like Malawi.
