Reproductive rights are human rights. By fighting bills such as H.R. 358 and S.877  we will support people's rights to choose their reproductive futures. We would also help preserve important organizations such as Planned Parenthood, which provide women with accessible birth control, sex education, and support.

The bills, which would "mend the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to modify special rules relating to coverage of abortion services under such Act" would in fact would allow hospitals to refuse to provide a woman emergency, lifesaving abortion care, even if she could die without it.

This bill will not only restrict women's access to abortion but it would also jeopardize their lives.
