My son Jesse Buchsbaum,  was a 17 year old  student in the Boyertown Area School District. He was bullied and harassed due to his speech and learning disabilities. Jesse was liked by his teachers and was an A and B student in the 11th grade at Boyertown High School in Pennsylvania. who after repeated bullying took his life. 

My family was devastated at the loss of our son Jesse. I want to help make Boyertown School’s safe and bully free for all students by starting a school safety committee that will work to oversee that the schools are taking action. Some think that bullying does not exist at Boyertown but they are wrong. The current policy and procedure on bullying at Boyertown does not work and is not being followed. School officials have been slow to take action on oversight and monitoring so that all students are safe even after I have expressed concern.
