13-14 years old children sentenced to death in prison

The Issue

The United State of America is the only country in the world where a 13 years old child is known to be sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole.
2484 children are been sentenced at all United States. Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) has documented 73 cases where children 13-14 years of ages had been condemned to death in prison. 70% of these children are minority. EJI attorneys had interviewed one Alabama inmate that is serving a life imprisionment for an offense that occurred when he was 15. Since being incarcerated in an adult prison, this boy has been repeatedly raped.  This boy's story is not unusual. Death in prison sentences are imposed in the United States are a rate at least three times higher today than 15 years ago. These children should be re-sentenced to parole-eligible sentences as soon as possible. It is a shame that the United State of America, known to be the land of opportunity and freedom, can be compared in terms of Juvenile Criminal Laws to one of the poorest countries in the word, with civil wars, pirates, and having the worst cases of human's rights violations for their civilians; "Somalia". The United States and Somalia are the only countries in the wolrd with the death sentence for children ages 13,14,15,16,and 17 years old. 132 countries have rejected the death sentence altogether.
Petition: Juvenile Criminal Laws - To be reformed by Supreme Court Judges
Abolish the practice. Stop sentencing children 13,14,15,16,17 to die in prison without possibility of parole. The International Law Org and United Nation considered this practice inhuman. "A sentence of imprisonment until death is a different and harsher punishment when inflicted in a young child".
Our President, Barack Obama stated "The United States of America do not torture people".  What is the US Department of Juvenile Justice doing to the children of America?

Aura CastroPetition StarterI'm a mohter of 3 boys. My middle child 15th is Autistic and was incarcerated for 11 days due to the lack of investigation from the School's Administrators, after all, The Police concluded that it was a false acussation, that my son was not at the school's premises the day of the incident. Because of the poor communication skills for been autistic, my son was unable to advocate for himself. The cruelty and lack of cooperation from the School Administration and the Juvenile Court Judge had forced me to stand not only for my son, but for all other disabled children unable to advocate for themselves. I understood how vulnerable are disabled children at this time, when our society and public representatives only care for money. We need to stop the Schoolhousing-Jailhousing pipeline. The Dept of Education in Washington needed to control all the Special Ed Departments in our States. Judges are jailing kids for cash. Disabled children are exposed to cruel punishments.
