Save SSC CGL 2013 Examination

Save SSC CGL 2013 Examination
The Issue
It is learnt that Staff Selection Commission under Department of Personnel and Training, which conducts Combined Graduate Level Examination every year for recruitment of Assistants/Inspectors for various departments in Central Government, has send the recommendation to DoPT for cancellation of exam for 2013 on grounds of preliminary report submitted by Delhi Police.
This is unfair on SSC and Delhi Police's part that instead of cracking hard on the ill-elements involved in the leakage, it has recommended to cancel the exam altogether. Such a step of SSC to consider cancellation is not justifiable to all those 1.3 lakh candidates who have burned the midnight oil for the preparation of examination for more than a year. Aspirants have left lucrative private job offers, moved to Delhi and other cities, lived on rent, ate unhealthy food and put at stake their finances just to clear this exam and get the job. The cancellation would only lead to further delay in the procedures of future exams as aspirants who have qualified in CGL 2013 shall take legal recourse as they are nowhere at fault.
Moreover, it is inferred that neither the Delhi Police nor the CBI in their report(s) have submitted any conclusive evidence of large scale leakage at all stages of the exam. Preliminary report of such should not be a base for the cancellation of the entire examination that involved 14 lakh candidates as participants. Rather a tier 3 (third phase) test which was a part of original notification (and removed later on by SSC) or a re-exam at specified centres should be roped in to filter out any chances of selection of any undeserved candidate.
